The Height Of Sliding Wardrobe Doors

The large majority of our made-to-measure, sliding wardrobe doors are fitted from floor to ceiling.

Our door heights start from around 1200mm.

The maximum door heights that we supply are:

• 2650mm* (Doors with two or more panels)
• 2450mm-2480mm* (Full Panel doors)
  *2650mm plus the door frame fits a 2720mm floor to ceiling measurement.
  *2450mm plus the door frame fits a 2520mm floor to ceiling measurement.

If your floor to ceiling height measurement exceeds our maximums, we can install a height reduction plinth to maintain the desired floor to ceiling fitted wardrobe finish. With height reduction plinths you do not lose any internal storage height.

New Build & Older Properties

Traditionally, houses were built with higher ceilings. The reasons for this are well documented and include light and ventilation benefits. Historically, architects were also far less economical with space and materials, they provided light and airy spaces, with ornate mouldings and many traditional features, including open fireplaces. As architecture and building techniques have changed to accommodate modern day living over the years, the height of a typical room is far less than it used to be.
